E-WASTE AWARENESS ⬩ EXPERIENTIAL DESIGN

Informing people of the negative consequences of electronic waste through a novel display method

Part of our our Experiential Design course, the project objective called for a modular visual campaign designed to spotlight the environmental costs of electronic waste and encourage reuse and responsible recycling. The work was created for a public installation on Belmont’s fine arts building, displayed across an array of repurposed tablets. Because the piece would live in a busy, real-world setting—and on hardware with cracked glass and thick bezels—clear hierarchy, strong focal points, and at-a-glance legibility were prioritized. I wanted the message to read instantly. The result is a cohesive, room-scale graphic that transforms obsolete devices into both medium and message.
